Harmony Road Music Course was founded in 1981 by Jan Keyser, a graduate of Willamette University with advanced studies from the Eastman School of Music. She drew upon her training in Dalcroze, Kodály, Montessori, and Yamaha methods to create a unique, research-based curriculum.
The program blends solfège singing, ear training, movement, rhythm, keyboard ensembles, composing, and improvisation—all designed to build strong "inner hearing" and musical fluency.
Parental participation is vital: caregivers join classes and continue lessons at home, fostering a team-based learning atmosphere that engages the whole family.

Group Music Lessons offer a fun, social, and engaging way to learn music with others. Designed for students of similar ages and skill levels, these classes encourage teamwork, listening skills, and confidence in a supportive environment. They're a great way to stay motivated, make friends, and enjoy the shared joy of making music.
We offer several exciting group music classes to
support different interests and skill levels:
• Band Class: Students come together to play in a group setting, learning teamwork, timing, and performance skills while playing different instruments as part of an ensemble.
• Theory Class: Specially designed for students of different instruments! Students learn to read put music into words, understand harmony, scales, chords, and more—helping them become stronger musicians.
